Mulso Unmanned Ground Combat Support System

Mulso Unmanned Ground Combat Support System

The Mulso was developed by a consortium of South Korean defense companies, originally design as an autonomous space rover the Mulso was converted into a unmanned combat system by the South Korean Military who saw its use as a squad level support robot. The Mulso weights less then 2 tons, can operate for up to 72 hours on a single charge, and can be transported by helicopter.

The MULSO has advanced mobility legs to overcome any terrain it encounters

The MULSO is designed with high mobility in mind, it has four multi-jointed articulated legs which can function as both wheels and legs allowing the MULSO to overcome complex terrain and maneuver in tight urban settings, MULSO can climb stairs or scale the sides of buildings by adjusting its leg positions. This allows it to shift its center of mass and height allowing it to peak and hide. The MULSO can operate on battery-only mode using its nearly silent electric motors to move silently through the battlefield.

The MULSO with is millimeter radar mast extended, the radar allows the MULSO to scan a range of up to 12km.

The Extended Mast mounted millimeter ware radar allows for high bandwidth 5G datalinks to link MULSO together to form a mesh network, this allows one MULSO to operate as the sensor and the others as shooters able to link targets and share weapons between them.

The MULSO is armed with an RWS-2 Remote Weapon Station which can mount a light or heavy machine gun, or 30mm cannon; Up to 10 MML Missile Pods, which can carry a mix of anti-air, anti-tank, and loiter missiles.

The MULSO primary armament is a 10-cell multiple missile launcher that can fire a number of different missiles, this includes ATGMs, ATAs, and Loiter missiles, the MULSO will carry a combination of these which allows it to target both air and ground targets it detects, it can also extend its surveillance radius by deploying loiter munitions to observe areas beyond its own visual range striking targets of opportunity that it detects.

The MULSO is also equipped with a medium RWS which can mount a variety of light and heavy machine guns, M240L and M2E or Mk19 40mm Grenade Launcher, the M230 30mm Lightweight Cannon. It uses an automatic reloading system that can reload up to two additional ammo containers which allow the MULSO to carry up to 2000 rounds of M240, 500 rounds of 12.7mm, 250 30mm, or 300 40mm rounds.
